Herbs, Art, Beer, and Wine

Friday April 3rd, Saturday April 4, and Sunday April 5
Herb Fest at Central Market, 11AM – 6PM
Herb experts will be on hand giving out samples of herbilicious goodies, such as Valfrais Herb Cheese, Divina Sicilian Herb Olives, Rosemary Bread and Five Herb Parmesan Cream Cheese Biscuits.  The sandwich bar will feature herb laden sandwiches.  Gourmet Gardens Herbs in a Tube will also be available.  Demonstrations will show how to incorporate fresh herbs in your cooking.  To help get you started, potted 5″ herb plants will be on sale – 3 for $10.

The Herb Fest burger should make a great pairing to an extra edition of Burgers and Bock on Saturday (April 4) from 11:30AM – 3PM.  Blue River provides some sweet bluegrass tunes.  Later on in the evening from 6PM – 9PM the regular Burgers and Bock continues on with classic covers by “Who Stoned The Beatles”.

Friday April 3
First Fridays at The Modern 5-8PM

Check out Jeff Elrod’s unique digital images as you enjoy The Modern’s extended hours during First Fridays.  Sip on a Spring Thing and enjoy music by Tom Reynolds Trio. Reserve dinner at Cafe Modern at 817-840-2157.

Friday March 6
First Friday on the Green 6PM – 9PM
This live music event is family and dog friendly, bring a blanket or chairs and enjoy tunes by Big Daddy Alright and ODIS.  The event is put on by Fort Worth South and is free, but a canned good donation to The Tarrant Area Food Bank is encouraged.  Chadra Mezza will be providing some yummy eats.  Magnolia Green Park is located on Lipscomb between Magnolia and Rosedale.

Saturday March 7
Rahr Brewery Tour and Tasting, 1-3PM
701 Galveston Avenue
Every Saturday Rahr brewery provides a tour and tasting of their award winning beer.  Live music and barbeque along with your Rahr beer provide the makings for an awesome way to spend your Saturday afternoon.

Sunday April 5
Lightcatcher Winery, Jazz Sunday, 4PM -7PM
Lunch is served from Noon – 6PM and a light snack buffet is offered from 4PM- 6PM. The Darwin Martin quartet provides tunes to sip sauvignon to. $10 cover.
