Alright music loving folks of Fort Worth, the guys from The Good Show have outdone themselves with a stellar line-up planned for Halloween at Lola’s Sixth. Every month the guys from The Good Show put together an impressive line-up of local talent to play a rockin’ show at Lola’s. The Good Show is a radio show that plays tunes (including lots of local stuff) you won’t find anywhere else every Saturday Morning from 9AM – Noon on KTCU, 88.7FM.

This months line-up falls right on Halloween night and the night has been dubbed, Nightmare on Sixth Street. Look for Lola’s to have a creepy Carnivale theme in honor of Halloween. Oso Closo, The Magic of Ash Adams, and The Skin and Bones Drum Cult make Lola’s the place to be Halloween night.

Oso Closo is a group of incredibly talented musicians that blend prog-rock with soulful vocals with just as much ease as they pull off catchy pop sounding tunes- check out their infectiously cute video they made for Chipotle Burrito. Local magician, Ash Adams will entertain with a magic show in between sets. The evening closes with what will be total insanity, The Skin and Bones Drum Cult. The Skin and Bones Drum Cult is made of bandmembers from different local bands that include Spoonfed Tribe, Katsuk, Tarantula Pants, Pablo and the Hempill Seven, Confusatron, Rivercrest Yacht Club and many others. Daniel Katsuk describes their set as completely improvised, they pick a theme and play-the theme for this show will be “masks”. I haven’t seen them live and I can’t wait.

As if all the great music isn’t reason enough to go to Lola’s on Halloween there will be plenty of tricks and treats there too! Prizes will be given out for the top 3 costumes. If you forget your costume, there will be face painters at the ready to get you into the Halloween spirit. I’ll be there and I will NOT be dressed up as Beyonce or Lady Gaga.

Once again I’m absolutely honored to be a sponsor of The Good Show Live Music Series along with Esoterica Salon, The Movie Tavern on 7th, Backwoods Outdoor Apparel, Fort Worth Burrito Project, Endeavor Cinema Group, Pussyhouse Propaganda, Iloveftw.com. Can I just give big props to the folks at Pussyhouse Propaganda for outdoing themselves with each promotional poster, this one is grotesquely creepy yet cute.

Don’t forget to grab some goulishly good grub at Fred’s, La Familia, J&J’s Oyster Bar, or The Love Shack. If you want something a tad more upscale a friend suggested going to Macs and just ordering a bunch of appetizers-I might have to try that!
