Log Cabin Village
Lone Star Dutch Oven Society Demonstration 1PM – 4PM
Dutch Oven Demonstration-Cherry CobblerIf you want to brave the cold temperature on Saturday, the Log Cabin Village will be holding a demonstration on Dutch Oven cooking. You’d be surprised at the types of food you can make in a cast iron Dutch Oven, everything from a main dish to a desert.

My husband and I are obsessed with cooking up some good gourmet grub on our next camp-out in our Dutch Oven, so we’ll probably be in attendance. (This photo is from a previous Dutch Oven demo we went to that sparked our interest-pictured is some yummy cherry cobbler).  The price is regular admission to the Log Cabin Village. 2100 Log Cabin Village Lane Fort Worth.

The Kimbell
After Hours at The Kimbell 5:30PM – 7:30PM
Listen to the Frank Hailey-Eric Zuloski Trio and sip some cocktails as you take in the cool elegance of The Kimbell.

Afterwards combat the cold weather with some hearty, comforting Italian food at Sardines.

With winter come shorter days, allowing us to enjoy the night landscape before bedtime. Get creative with art-making activities while learning about winter landscapes and evening adventures on display in the galleries.
3501 Camp Bowie Boulevard.

Grab a bite beforehand at the casual Jazz Cafe (for brunch) or the hearty Montgomery Street Cafe.  Reward your kids for good behavior with some Curly’s Custard afterward (that’s what I do).
