Cowtown Farmers Market
Eat Local. It’s a goal to aspire to. How do you make it happen? In Fort Worth we are fortunate enough to have a weekly producer-only farmers market that’s been around for the last 28 years. The Cowtown Farmers Market takes place every Saturday and sometimes Wednesdays at the Weatherford Traffic Circle on the westside of Fort Worth.

Fort Worth’s original Producer only market
Cowtown Farmers Market is Fort Worth’s original producer-only market. That means they only allow vendors to sell items that are either grown, raised or produced within 150 miles of Fort Worth. That’s pretty darn local. In other words, when you think of a traditional Farmers market this it. Farm to table dining, as long as you cook it, is in reach.

If quality ingredients along with supporting the local economy matter to you the farmers market is a great way to put those values into action.

If you frequent the market enough you’ll learn what’s in season. Most likely you’ll learn from the farmer who’s grown it and can tell you all about what you’re buying. For instance, there’s no better tomato or peach than the ones that are found at the Farmers Market. Seriously!

Vendors at Cowtown Farmers Market
In addition the freshest produce possible, there’s many local vendors to support as well. Cheese, coffee, soaps, honey, fresh cut flowers, bread, soup, tamales are just a few of the other items you’ll find at the Cowtown Farmers Market. Some of the vendors have a presence at the Clearfork Farmers Markets as well. It’s easy to get cooking inspiration from all the great ingredients.
