Is there such a thing as a Rock n Roll Farmers Market?! I’d venture to say that the Lola’s Local Farmers Market that takes place every second Sunday at Lola’s Trailer Park is as close as you’ll get.

This monthly market has everything I love about Fort Worth in one place. Food, local artisans and artists AND live music. It doesn’t get more eclectic and dare I say funky as this market.

You get the feeling you are in someone’s back yard strolling through the outdoor space. The live music lends a party atmosphere. Oh and the bar at the Saloon is open. So there’s no reason not to take a seat, enjoy some music and sit a spell on a Sunday afternoon. They also have a food truck onsite.

There’s a variety of vendors with a mix of fresh produce and artisanal food items. There’s plenty of food products to buy that are locally made. Some of the items you might find include locally made cheeses, spice blends and rubs, tortillas, fried pies, cheesecakes, preserves and pickles and finally my favorite thing, coffee. You will even find local grass fed beef.

On my last visit I even bought some jewelry from local maker and artist, Jessica Guillen. Fashion tip: Get yourself some of her adorable earrings or pins!

In addition to food, you’ll find local artists. The market hosts an “Original Artwork Artist of the Month”. The art aspect adds an additional draw for this community market.

Check their Facebook Page for additional updates on activities. Sometimes they host a yoga class before the market begins.
